HYDROGEL CURATIVE
HYDROGEL is a ready-to-use insecticide gel formulated to eradicate long-horned and powder post beetles, woodworm and termites in panels and structural woodwork – frameworks, roof trusses, beams and joists – and to protect wood from insect infestation.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Before applying HYDROGEL, identify the infestation, remove the damaged wood and clear away dust and sawdust.
HYDROGEL’s formulation spreads easily
Apply HYDROGEL by injection when a cross section of the timber measures more than 10cm2. HYDROGEL attacks larvae deep down in the wood thereby accelerating their total eradication.
HYDROGEL’s jellified formula means that one coating is sufficient to eradicate the insect infestation. As HYDROGEL is white on application, it is easier to spot zones that have not been treated. HYDROGEL becomes transparent after application.
PRECAUTIONS
Avoid contact with porous materials such as plaster, particle board, bituminous felt, etc. HYDROGEL can cause stains.
Leave the timber to dry for 3 to 4 weeks before applying a wood finish. Test a small area before application.
WARNING
HYDROGEL is a biocide.
Wear fully protective clothing when handling this product
Ventilate the area during and after treatment.
Do not return to the treated area for 24 hours after application

Preventive insecticide:
EN 46: Determination of the preventive action against recently hatched larvae of Hylotrupes bajulus (Linnaeus).
Curative insecticide:
EN 1390: Determination of the eradicant action against Hylotrupes bajulus (Linnaeus) larvae.
EN 370: Determination of eradicant efficacy in preventing emergence of Anobium punctatum
Termiticide:
EN 118: Determination of preventive action against Reticulitermes species (European termites)
Fungicide:
EN 113: Test method for determining the protective effectiveness against wood destroying basidiomycetes.
Durability:
The long-term effectiveness of the insecticide and fungicide were tested further to the following accelerated ageing procedures:
EN 73: Evaporative ageing procedure
EN 84: Leaching procedure
