HYDROKOAT 6 PRESERVATIVE
HYDROKOAT 6 is a fungicide and insecticide microemulsion formulated to protect structural frameworks, roof trusses, panels, beams and joists – timber covered by a roof that is not in contact with the ground – from attack from powder-post and long-horned beetles, woodworm, and termites.

DESCRIPTION
HYDROKOAT 6 provides timber for use class 1 and 2 with immediate protection which lasts for a minimum of 10 years when applied correctly.
HYDROKOAT 6 has CTB-P+ quality certification from the FCBA.
The efficacy of HYDROKOAT 6 has been tested and classified in line with European standards NF EN 599, NF EN 335 and NF EN 351.
HYDROKOAT 6 can be used for timber CE marking.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Apply either by dipping the wood in HYDROKOAT 6 for 3-5 minutes, by injecting the wood, or by spraying the wood using a high pressure spraying system or an automated spraying tunnel or booth.
TIPS
Apply HDROKOAT 6 to all the surfaces of each timber by separating the timbers before treatment using short, pre-treated planks
Do not apply at temperatures of 0°C or below as this prevents HYDROKOAT 6 from penetrating into the wood
Stir before use, especially if temperatures previously dropped below 0°C
Leave the wood to drain in a waterproof area
Leave the wood to dry in a sheltered area for 24 hours
Do not mix HYDROKOAT 6 with other wood treatments. Contact us for advice.
Clean dipping vats, high pressure spray machines and automated spraying tunnels and booths regularly to make sure that they are free from wood dust and other contaminants
