KOATEC IFTC CURATIVE
KOATEC IFTC is a dual purpose insecticide/fungicide that eradicates long-horned and powder post beetles, woodworm and termites, as well as wood-rotting fungi in timber frameworks, panels, beams, joists and roof trusses.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Identify the infestation, remove the damaged wood and clear away dust and sawdust before applying KOATEC IFTC.
Apply two coats of KOATEC IFTC with a spray at a rate of 240 g/m².
Inject KOATEC IFTC into timber where a cross section of the timber measures more than 10 cm2.
Pay special attention to lap joints.
Avoid spraying porous materials such as plaster, particle boards, bituminous felt, etc. KOATEC IFTC can cause stains.
Leave the timber to dry for one month before applying a wood finish. Test a small area before application.
KOATEC IFTC contains biocides and solvents.
Wear fully protective clothing when handling this product.
Ventilate the area after treatment in order to evaporate the solvents faster.
Do not return to the treated area for three or four days after application.
KOATEC IFTC complies with the following standards:
EN 46: Determination of the preventive action against recently hatched larvae of Hylotrupes bajulus (Linnaeus).
EN 118: Determination of preventive action against Reticulitermes species (European termites)
EN 1390: Determination of the eradicant action against Hylotrupes bajulus (Linnaeus) larvae.
EN 370: Determination of eradicant efficacy in preventing emergence of Anobium punctatum
EN 113: Test method for determining the protective effectiveness against wood destroying basidiomycetes.
The long-term effectiveness of the insecticide and fungicide were tested further to the following accelerated ageing procedures:
